The Treatment Process

Your Lumecca IPL skin treatment will be performed at Medique NYC. During the treatment, a special handpiece will be passed over the areas of the face or body being treated. The handpiece will emit bursts of light that penetrate the layers of skin and generate heat. The treatment is not painful. You may feel some discomfort and a light pinching sensation around the treatment areas during the process.

What to Expect After Your Treatment

You may notice that the treated areas feel warm as well as some redness. The skin may feel slightly sunburnt. The skin may darken over the next few days before it begins to flake away. You can apply a moisturizer to soothe the area, but avoid applying anything harsh to the skin.

Most of the redness and flaking should be gone after a week. After two weeks, you should see a noticeable improvement in the appearance of your skin.
